The new server was opened up on February 1st 2013 and many of the regulars moved to the new world map. It is for 50 people only but even then this entire week has been chaos with lots of crashes and new kids learning the ropes of how to play on a live server. I am waiting for it to calm down (and finally able to use the area I built pre new server opening) so until then I’ve been on the old server.
They changed it entirely! Its all modern look with skyscrapers, a ferris wheel, scaffolding, cranes and many high rise apartments. It is my new adventure with finding tools to build and stay alive because on the old server they turned off all the plugins. Mobs are back, fire WILL spread, creepers when blowing up WILL damage the surrounding area. First day I was enjoying myself only to be purposely killed by two hackers (PvP is also turned on) but I managed to get a picture of the house I made mine before I was harassed.
Shane came onto the old server to game with me but unfortunately he has history with one of the gamers and they ended up destroying my house. Been working all this new week and so it was up to Shane to find us a new house to live in while we go explore and have fun. Its been houses inside mountains or in the ground to prevent griefing from other players and people finding us and killing our pixels…it was getting annoying after a while. But yesterday when I was doing the PM shift a kid found our underground abode and put lava in it! Shane managed to save most of the stuff in our chest and once again we nomads on the move.
Luckily I took a picture again when I first put down the wool to give a carpet effect than just stone and for those who read my wordpress know I love my colours to give off positive, happy vibes 
Tonight when Shane woke up he told me of the new house he found. It was simple base of brick and stone, but surrounded by empty buildings nearby. So interior decorator side of me worked on it and this is what we got I’m posting the four photos for what we have now. And the best part for tonight, we were the only ones on the old server. Most of the players are kids in high school who have to return to school today, so we got the place to ourselves!
Lots of colour and two big green couches to the left and my love for books in the back along with an enchanting table and indoor wheat farm
The floor is very Greek inspired, kitchen in the back and even a rangehood over the two furnaces on the right
Our master bedroom complete with redstone lamps, lapis lazuli bedside tables and chests in the carpet
